This filter is commonly used in any of the gas canning units. It is oversized to overhang the sides so that the syrup does not work its way down past the sides of the filters, but you can easily trim it if you want a smaller size. It can be washed and reused, however the syrup should never be wrung out of the filter as this also pushes the dirt through it. Should be used with pre-filters (FPR36), and it is a good idea to have several of these on hand, so you can keep filtering if one gets dirty.
